Do you live your life like there is no tomorrow, or are you more cautious with your day to day activities? Each style of living your life has its benefits and drawbacks. Here's a look at each.
If you are curious about why I used this image for this post, well, I had a hard time finding anywhere else to put it. I thought it showed a lust for life and really portrays a person that is perhaps a bit mad. Mind you I'm not, but sometimes you need to be a little, well, a little different.
Living each day like there is no tomorrow
- Spontaneous living can be exciting and filled with surprises.
- You can find yourself in situations you might not expect (good or bad)
- There is always the wonder of what might happen next, more so than cautious living
- You experience more of life than a cautious person
- You expose yourself to more dangers and experiences that might cause you downtime
- Excitement comes when you plan for it, or at least, not as often as spontaneous living (generalization)
- Your chances of living a longer life are much better
- You experience life at your own speed, which could make your entire life experiences much less than the alternative
- Dangers to life and limb are much less
- Prefers planning over randomness
Imagine if everyone enjoyed skydiving and taking the risk of jumping from a perfectly good airplane. Would skydiving then be relegated to a lower risk level because of it's acceptance by everyone as a great way to enjoy an afternoon? Probably not, but would it be just a little bit less? Perhaps.
Conversely, if everyone took each day cautiously, would there be any advancements in extreme sports? Advancements in anything that required someone stick their neck out and potentially have it chopped off? I would venture to say, no. At least, not as often.
We need both types of people in this world. Those that stick their necks out and those that prefer to not add additional risk to their lives. Both have their place in this world. Without both, our world might be completely different than it is today, and that could be good, or that could be bad. It's all a matter of how you look at it.
Which person are you? Do you like to take risks, or do you prefer a more cautious approach to your days here on earth? Are there any additional thoughts you would like to add to the above?

Can't say I enjoy the idea of skydiving... I think if I tried it, I would leave a vapor trail of frightened-to-death urine behind me as I hurtled groundward.
Thanks for coming and checking out my miseries! If you go back into the archives, you will find some other stuff besides my political whining. Hell, I even talk about feces once in a while! 8-)
I will explore your place some more, and I will gladly link it at mine! Good blogging, WayneJohn!
My first name and middle initial are John W., and people always assume the W is for Wayne because I tend to talk sorta like the Duke. Sigh...
