I started out using this blog as a training blog for my series on using Blogger. I covered all the interfaces as well as other items, but I find myself in a bit of a quandary over what to do with this blog now that the Blogger.com series is complete.

I decided that since the name of the blog is Views on Life, why not just post little things here and there that pertain to life.

I realize that I'd would get rather bored doing this all by myself. Instead, what I intend to do is allow anyone to put a post and make the blog a World Views on Life blog. Readers can submit anything they want, and I'll post it for all the world to see. Of course, to circumvent those that think I'll throw just any old thing up here, there are some rules to this.

First, the post must contain your thoughts on what life is. That can come in many forms of course. They can be silly, they can be crude. Your views would never be subjected to a critical eye by myself, I cannot guarantee that they won't by any visitors though.

Secondly, you are free to include links to your sites or blogs. I won't accept a list of links with a one liner on your view of life, that just wouldn't be in the spirit of this would it. No, you need to keep some common sense about you when you submit a post to be put up here. All links will be nofollow free, and will be tailored to give you the best bang for your buck.

Thirdly, pictures are fine too. If you want to dress up your post with images, sounds (albeit, I may regret this), animated gifs, whatever, you are free to. So long as the content is of a legal nature and doesn't violate any laws. I, of course, will have final say about what gets posted. If I find it of questionable nature, I'll toss it away and won't even let you know, so don't try. It's a waste of your time, and my time.

Fourthly, there is no fourth item. This is meant to be fun, helpful to you in your promotion of a web site, product or service and will be another quality link pointing back to your site.

I hope you find this offer attractive enough to submit a post. I think it's open enough to perhaps garner a few submissions, and perhaps those will grow over time. Time will tell.

I'll soon be writing my submission and take care of some loose ends on the blog. I'll throw in a few modifications to help promote the posts through services like Digg and Stumble as well.

Let me know what you think? Do you have something to tell the world about your views on life?

If you would like to submit a post to this blog, you can do so by emailing me at ViewsOnLifeSubmission *at* waynejohn.com.

You can also request to be added to the blog roll also.

-------------------------

You see, each has a life of it's own, and it took a cartoon to make me realize this. All those days of watching Bugs Bunny outwit Elmer Fudd is proof positive that they are worth saving.

Next time you see a roach on the ground, consider this. That little roach is outfitted with longevity armor beyond anything else (I wonder though...).

To help myself shed some childhood fears, I thought I would share one of them with everyone. The following video is one of my most favorite, and feared bugs. No, I don't think their poisonous, but they freak me the hell out.

Some call them a potato bug, but this is actually a Jerusalem cricket. Each style of living your life has its benefits and drawbacks. Here's a look at each.

If you are curious about why I used this image for this post, well, I had a hard time finding anywhere else to put it. I thought it showed a lust for life and really portrays a person that is perhaps a bit mad. Mind you I'm not, but sometimes you need to be a little, well, a little different.

Living each day like there is no tomorrow

Spontaneous living can be exciting and filled with surprises.

You can find yourself in situations you might not expect (good or bad)

There is always the wonder of what might happen next, more so than cautious living

You experience more of life than a cautious person

You expose yourself to more dangers and experiences that might cause you downtime

Living a cautious or reserved life

Excitement comes when you plan for it, or at least, not as often as spontaneous living (generalization)

Your chances of living a longer life are much better

You experience life at your own speed, which could make your entire life experiences much less than the alternative

Dangers to life and limb are much less

Prefers planning over randomness

Everyone has their own opinion of how we might live our lives, and my lifestyle is not necessarily the way you should live yours. That's one thing that makes living life so exciting and filled with wonder, everyone is different!

Imagine if everyone enjoyed skydiving and taking the risk of jumping from a perfectly good airplane. Would skydiving then be relegated to a lower risk level because of it's acceptance by everyone as a great way to enjoy an afternoon? Probably not, but would it be just a little bit less? Perhaps.

Conversely, if everyone took each day cautiously, would there be any advancements in extreme sports? Advancements in anything that required someone stick their neck out and potentially have it chopped off? I would venture to say, no. At least, not as often.

We need both types of people in this world. Those that stick their necks out and those that prefer to not add additional risk to their lives. Both have their place in this world. Without both, our world might be completely different than it is today, and that could be good, or that could be bad. It's all a matter of how you look at it.

Which person are you? Do you like to take risks, or do you prefer a more cautious approach to your days here on earth? Are there any additional thoughts you would like to add to the above?

Blogged with the Flock Browser

-------------------------

My name is Wayne, and it is here that I will write on various topics of life, what I think it means to be alive and breathing, our world around us, current events in the world and finally, what I think we should be doing with our short time on this little blue planet we call Earth.

While you may not agree with all my views on life, I encourage each and every visitor to this blog to particiapate and share their thoughts on what I write. I am by no means adverse to criticism and differeing opinions, in fact I love a solid, mature and healthy arguement. I think with the differing opinions coming together and participating on various topics, we can together help others make a more informed opinion for themselves.

I am no expert, in fact I'm just like you in many ways. I do have my expertises in life, just as you do. You do have expertises, whether you know it or not. My hope is also to write something that will allow you to realize your potential and provide some level of motivation to help you make a difference.

I encourage each and every reader of this post, as I will for each post I write, to subscribe to Views on Life, and participate in the posts that will be forthcoming.

I wish you well, be good humans.
-------------------------
